Donald McIntyre (British 1923-2009) was a landscape and coastal painter in oil, acrylic and watercolour. He developed a style in the Scottish Colourist tradition, latterly living in Wales and exhibiting widely. This oil on board is an example of his earlier work, and shows the broad sweeping brush strokes of colour which he has become known for.
