Warren Williams (Welsh 1863-1941) painted mainly in watercolour, and is renowned for his Welsh landscapes. He exhibited in many galleries, and was once commissioned by Queen Mary to paint two miniatures for her doll's house. This view of the windmill is a good example of his work, and depicts a scene which has disappeared from the landscape on Anglesey.
